A Spacey Discovery

Veteran ambient techno producer Thomas Lynge was one-half of the celebrated duo Tournesol. They released 2 highly regarded full albums and 2 EP's on the legendary techno and ambient labels R&S and Apollo records out of Belgium in 1993-1995. During that time, Thomas Lynge made solo music in his free time at his home studio. Discovery records label owner Tim Humphrey was a long time fan of these early 1990's works. Tim contacted Thomas to see if he had any unreleased music from those times and here we are. Not only did he have some but enough to fit an entire album's worth. After listening to the music and organizing tracks, they seem to be best presented as separate EP's. 'Vertical EP(1994)' is filled with the most optimistic and beautiful of the lot while the 'Horizontal EP (1994)' is a bit darker but still firmly in the ambient techno genre.

We hope you enjoy this recent Discovery of unreleased music from nearly 30 years ago from this heroic producer.

James Bernard confuses time. These suite of tracks play tricks with you, everytime you listen to 'em. Some times fast, sometimes slow, sometimes scary, sometimes mellow.
