A recent FAX styled ambient Discovery

RD005 comes to us from french producer Garden of Oddities. Titled 'A Grain of Sand in Space', it is a compilation and sampling of his last couple of years tracks. This album combines chill out and poignant passages along with wonderful longplay spacey ambient pieces. After the the gentle intro, the sunset strings of 'Alfalfa's Trip Part 2' really pull you in deep for the space ride to begin. 'Cradled in Bed' is a magical downtempo track that evokes Cafe Del Mar memories and is a must listen that will be sure to be a great pick for your next chill out set. 'Soleus' will definitely remind folks of FAX records of yesteryear and that is no coincidence as Garden of Oddities is a huge Pete Namlook fan. Reminding us of standout pieces off 'Shades of Orion' or the Broadway series. 'State of Confusion' is dreamlike comedown while the outro bring's thing to a simple and heartfelt ending.

James Bernard confuses time. These suite of tracks play tricks with you, everytime you listen to 'em. Some times fast, sometimes slow, sometimes scary, sometimes mellow.
